Building Heights

Building Heights provides educational and vocational programs in the film arts for Cleveland Heights and University Heights students in grades 5-12.

Give

Building Heights helps Cleveland Heights and University Heights students – in elementary, middle, and high school – discover their artistic and vocational talents in the film and television arts.

  • We run Heights Middle School Shorts, where campers learn how to tell stories, make movies, and, most importantly, believe in themselves, harness their creative potential, and work with others to make something they’re all proud of.
  • We offer HMSS Film Scores where an HMSS Music Instructor that guides students to write and produce music for the films of Heights Middle School Shorts. This FREE after school program is available to all 6-8th grade CHUH School District students.
  • We recently started HMSS Profiles, where 9th and 10th graders write, direct, and produce documentaries featuring BIPOC Heights High Alumni Distinguished Hall of Fame inductees.
  • We offer HMSS Trailers for 5th graders, to give them an opportunity to craft narratives, wield the camera, and have fun as they make trailers for imaginary files.

We’re committed to making our programs free of charge for the majority of our students. To do that, we need your help. Please consider making a donation that will allow our kids to discover their talents.

Donations can be made online. Thank you for your generosity!
